Propel Student Checking Account

Propel Student Checking is designed for students aged 12 and older, giving them the tools they need to start managing their money responsibly. Kids will automatically be transferred into our Simply Better Checking Account once they reach the age of 19, making it a seamless transition into adulthood!

Propel Student Checking Account is available to minors age 12 – 18 with a parent or guardian as a joint owner. The account must be opened in-branch with both the parent/guardian and student present. Parent/guardian must have or open a new Savers Bank checking account and enroll in or be enrolled in Online Banking. Minimum to open the account is $10. No monthly maintenance Fee. No minimum balance required to maintain the account. Interest is not earned on this account. No transaction limitations apply to this account. Overdraft Protection is not available for this account. Some charges associated with account are reduced; see fee schedule for details. Once an account holder reaches their 19th birthday this account will automatically convert to a Simply Better Checking.
